Troubleshooting

First you should make sure your browser is using the latest version. Follow the steps for your browser to see the current version and update if necessary.

Chrome
  • Type chrome://version/ into the URL bar and press Enter.
Safari
  • From the menu bar, click Safari and then select About Safari.
Firefox
  • Type about:support into the URL bar and press Enter.
Edge
  • Click the '...' in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
  • Click About Microsoft Edge to see the current version.
Internet Explorer
  • Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select About Internet Explorer.
Opera
  • Open a new tab, type about into the URL bar and press Enter.

Enable WebGL

It is possible that you may have accidentally disabled WebGL. Take the following steps for your browser to ensure WebGL is enabled. Afterwards, close and relaunch your browser for changes to take effect.

Chrome
  • Type chrome://settings into the URL bar and press Enter.
  • Search for hardware acceleration and enable Use hardware acceleration when available.
  • Optional: Type chrome://flags into the URL bar and press Enter. Enable WebGL Draft Extensions (Typically not required).
Safari
  • From the menu bar, click Safari and then select Preferences.
  • Click Security.
  • Check Allow WebGL.
Firefox
  • Type about:config into the URL bar and press Enter.
  • Search for webgl.disabled and ensure it is set to false.
Internet Explorer
  • WebGL will only work with Internet Explorer 11 and later. Ensure you are on version 11 or try switching to Microsoft Edge.
Opera
  • Type about:config into the URL bar and press Enter.
  • Search for hardware and make sure Use hardware acceleration when available is enabled.

Operating System and Hardware

If possible, you should use the most recent device available. While devices with lower specifications may work, they can also offer a poor user experience.

Windows (PC)
  • Windows 10 or later, GPU, and at least 8 GB of RAM. 2 GB or above video memory recommended.
Mac
  • OSX 10.10.5 (Yosemite) or later, GPU, and at least 8 GB of RAM. 2 GB or above video memory recommended.
iOS
  • iOS 9.0 or later. Hardware: iPhone 6 or later, iPad Air series, iPad Mini Retina 2 or later, or iPad 4.
Android
  • In general, a device with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later with Chrome and WebGL.
